Although VCRC does not require a direct referral from your veterinarian, we encourage you to involve your primary care veterinarian in your decision for your referral. The sharing of any previous diagnostic tests or treatment can be useful in providing your pet the best care.
No diagnostic tests or treatments will be performed without a thorough discussion of your options and estimates for costs.
In order to schedule an appointment, please call Jim, VCRC's receptionist
at 971-255-5930.
Except for water, we advise that you fast your pet for 12 hours prior to an appointment, unless your pet is diabetic. This will allow us to pursue any additional diagnostic tests, if needed, without delay. If you feel that fasting might be detrimental to the health of your pet, please call to discuss your concerns.
To expedite the check-in process, you may fill out the client form before your appointment and either bring it in or fax it to us at 971-255-5978.
Your first visit is an important one. Dr. Freeman will be reviewing the medical records from your veterinarian, examining your pet, then discussing the biological behavior of your pet's disease with you. Treatment options will be presented to you, including the costs involved. We believe knowledge is power and our goal is to ensure that you have the tools necessary to make an informed decision about your pet's care. You can expect to spend a minimum of one hour in our facility for your initial visit. More time may be necessary if additional testing is recommended.
